Rhizome erect or shortly creeping, to 5 mm diameter; rhizome scales dark brown, narrowly triangular ? in outline, margin entire, apex acute, to 1.5 mm long, with paler margins. Fronds tufted, to 30 cm long, proliferous in centre of terminal pinna. Stipe 9–25 cm long, with scattered scales similar to those of rhizome. Lamina ovate in outline, 8–13 x 7–10 cm, pinnate, the lower pinnae hardly or not decrescent, the terminal pinna very similar to the lateral ones and the same size. Pinnae 2–3 pairs, (sub-)opposite, to 6 x 2 cm, shortly petiolate, narrowly ovate in outline, base slightly asymmetric, margin crenate, glabrous or nearly so. Rhachis slightly winged, with some scattered scales. Sori many on veins, linear, to 10 mm long; indusium linear, entire, to 0.7 mm wide, membranous. |
