| Notes: | Only Clematis villosa is listed by Figueiredo & Smith in Strelitzia 22 (2008: 136). Two subspp. are believed to occur, subsp. villosa and subsp. stanleyi. It is uncertain exactly which subsp. can be found where in the country although it should be noted that subsp. stanleyi is generally considered to be restricted to Kalahari sandveld. |
