Epiphytic orchid on Englerophytum tree branch, with long thick aerial roots. Narrow linear leaves. Some fruit capsules.

Grass to 40cm,tufted, hard to dig out. Inflorescence very narrow, purple-tinged, anthers hanging out. When seeding, glumes opening widely, very hairy, whitish.

Tree to 6 m, often regenerating or coppicing. Generally an understory shrub. Milky latex. Flowering on stems. Leaves dark green, with brown hairs underneath.

Tree to 4 m. Long spicate axillary inflorescence, greenish-white with yellow anthers. Many ants farming scale insects.
